What is an app password, and how do I get one?
  1. On your Google Account, turn on 2-Step Verification (Security section).
  2. Open myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, enter a name like “Ledger Mail”, and press Create.
  3. Copy the 16-character password Google shows and paste it above. Spaces don't matter.

This is not your normal Google password. You can revoke it any time from the same page, which signs this app out everywhere.

Your password is checked directly with Google and kept encrypted on this server only for your session.
